Christmas Day Barn Fire
On Wednesday, December 25, at 2:52 p.m., the Orange City Fire Department responded to 3931 Jackson Avenue,
four miles north of Orange City, IA for a barn on fire.

Upon arrival, a barn was found with heavy smoke coming from it. It rapidly became engulfed by fire.

No injuries were reported.

The barn and its contents are considered a total loss. It appears a heat lamp inside the barn started the fire.

The Orange City Fire Department and Orange City Ambulance were assisted by the Sioux Center Fire Department,
Alton Fire Department and the sheriff’s office.
